This Privacy Policy describes how Mohit SG Reddy, Bamboo Studios ("Bamboo Studios," "we," "us") handles information when you use Bamboo, a private habit, wellness, and recovery tracker.
Bamboo stores the information you choose to enter in the app, including tracker names, check-ins, streaks, moods, journal text, trigger tags, optional photos, optional voice notes, preferences, reminders, and optional device-lock settings. This information may reveal sensitive health or wellness information.
By default, this information stays on your device. Bamboo does not operate an account system or a server that receives your journal or tracker data.
Microphone access is requested only when you choose to record a voice note. Voice notes are stored on your device and can be removed with the entry. The Android “display over other apps” permission is requested only if you choose to enable the optional Panda companion overlay. Notification permission is requested only when you enable reminders.
When you explicitly export, share, or sync a backup, Bamboo provides the selected data to the destination you choose. That destination’s privacy practices apply after the transfer. You can delete local tracker and journal data from Bamboo’s Data & Backup settings.
Free versions of Bamboo may show ads through Google AdMob. Google and its advertising partners may process device identifiers, IP address, approximate location derived from IP address, ad interaction information, and similar technical information to provide, measure, prevent fraud in, and personalize ads where permitted and consented to. Bamboo does not send your journal, mood, tracker, voice-note, or other sensitive wellness data to AdMob for advertising.
Where required, Bamboo presents Google’s consent choices before requesting ads. You can review Google’s privacy practices at policies.google.com/privacy.
Premium subscriptions are processed by Google Play Billing. Bamboo receives subscription entitlement information needed to provide Premium features; Bamboo does not receive or store your full payment-card details. Google’s privacy policy applies to payment processing.
On-device information is used to provide Bamboo’s tracking, reminders, insights, backup, and personalization features. We do not sell your personal information or use your sensitive wellness information for advertising, profiling, or data brokerage.
Your local data remains on your device until you delete it, erase Bamboo’s data, or uninstall the app. We use device-local storage and available device security features, but no method of storage is completely secure. Keep exports and backups in a location you trust.
You can decline optional permissions, delete entries and trackers, erase all local data, and control reminders and the Panda overlay from Settings. Depending on where you live, you may have additional privacy rights. Because Bamboo does not receive your on-device journal data, deleting it in the app is generally the most direct way to exercise access or deletion choices.
Bamboo is not directed to children. Do not use Bamboo if you are below the minimum age required to consent to data processing in your location without a parent or guardian where required by law.
